1956 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster

The 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL Roadster is an iconic classic convertible that exudes timeless elegance and sophistication. With its sleek lines, chrome accents, and distinctive grille, it captures the essence of luxury motoring from the 1950s. Under the hood, it is powered by a spirited 1.9-liter M121 inline-four engine, delivering a smooth and refined driving experience with 104 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. It has a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission.

This 190SL has been fully restored in Böblingen, Germany by reputable Arthur Bechtel Classic Motors. The engine and differential were overhauled during the restoration process. Additional work included disassembling the car, refinishing the bodywork, reupholstering the cabin, and refreshing various mechanical systems. The car was refinished during the restoration in Silver Grey color. 

Key features include a red convertible soft top with matching top boot, four-speed manual transmission, dual mirrors, bright windshield surround, grille, and bumpers. The car is equipped with a double-wishbone front suspension, rear swing axles with coil springs, and power-assisted drum brakes.

The cabin features low-back bucket seats that have been reupholstered in red leather, which extends to the door panels and dashboard trim. It includes a rear “Kinder” jump seat, a push-button radio, an analog clock, and a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, trunk equipped with a set of red luggage and spare tire.

Renowned for its craftsmanship and attention to detail, the 1956 Mercedes-Benz 190SL remains a coveted collector's car, cherished by enthusiasts for its beauty and performance.
